Divine Savior Catholic Church Ocular Inspection

"Majestic" in this way, the Local Government Unit of Bolinao led by Municipal Mayor Alfonso F. Celeste, MD thru its Sangguniang Bayan headed by Hon. Vice Mayor Richard C. Celeste and Bolinao Tourism Office describes the Divine Savior Catholic Church as they conducted an ocular visit assisted by Father Jonas in this realm of public worship in Sitio Casub, Binabalian, Bolinao, Pangasinan on March 08, 2022.
Despite of an approximately 20-minute travel facing the waves in the ocean and dealing with the moderately dusty wind on the road, witnessing its attributes proved that it’s worth a visit. Built in the late 1990’s in honor of Blessed Odorico who folklores believed to be the friar who held the first thanksgiving mass in the island, this octagonal-shaped church embodies areas and parts possessing eco-friendly designs. Some of these include a façade surrounded by a greenery with colorful plant vases made from recycled car tires and a pathway with wire and metal plant trellis placed in its front; a Prayer Hall with Blessed Odorico’s Mosaic, an artistic Altar and a wall of Maria Corazon de Jesus or the Sacred Hearts with backgrounds or designs embellished with fossiliferous limestone; and furnitures made from recycled woods.

The site inspection paved way to the LGU along with the parish priest talked about the other developmental scheme of the church. Its ongoing construction and nature-friendly beautification display more its huge potential to cater the needs and wants of the visitors and devotees -- a perfect place to find a quiet time with God and a quite time with nature. With its features, the creativity, resourcefulness, perseverance and supportiveness of people were greatly shown.
