LGU-Bolinao Meeting with the Tourism Stakeholders

The Local Government Unit of Bolinao with the active leadership of Hon. Mayor Alfonso F. Celeste, MD. hopes of reviving the town as one of the country’s premier destinations. A meeting was initiated by the Municipal Mayor thru its Bolinao Tourism Office yesterday, March 31, 2022 held at the Don Raymundo Celeste Sports Complex.
The event had participants from both public and the private sectors including section chiefs of various government and private agencies, local barangay officials, hotel and resort owners, public attraction owners amongst others. The meeting provided the good Mayor an opportunity to meet and interact with tourism stakeholders and share their inputs and ideas that could lead to brighter solutions in resolving problems that may arise as higher influx of tourists is expected to arrive during the Holy Week celebration.
The agenda of the meeting focused on some concerns and issues that may occur as the tourism industry reopens its corridors to tourists from all over the country. Some of the concerns that were identified and discussed includes Oplan Semana Santa 2022, Public Tourist Attractions Regulations, Activation of Incident Command System, Power Supply, Solid Waste Management, Curfew, Water supply, Environmental fees, etc.
The active participation of stakeholders towards this endeavor heightens the partnership of the LGU and the tourism stakeholders and will help support the governments’ goal to heighten its ability to promote Bolinao as” a place where safety and security of tourists and its people is its top priority ”. These collaborative actions are essential in getting our jobs done.
