With regards to the protection of people and the marine ecosystem against Red tide toxin, the Local Government Unit of Bolinao led by Municipal Mayor Hon. Alfonso F. Celeste MD strictly implemented precautionary measures in line with the advisory launched by the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources where traders, market inspectors, quarantine officers, administrators and community people play great roles. This guidelines include the requirement of Auxiliary Invoice from the point of origin or Local Transport Permit issued by BFAR.

Prioritizing our safety from negative impacts of coming into contact with Paralytic Shellfish Poison (PSP), the public is advised to refrain from eating, gathering or harvesting and marketing all types of shellfish and Acetes sp. or alamang from the coastal waters of Bolinao.
